As a Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, my work is grounded in several empirically validated therapeutic approaches, including (but not limited to) Cognitive-Behavioural, Psychodynamic, Emotionally-focused and Compassion-focused.
I completed my Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, where I practiced as a Psychologist for more than five years before moving to Ontario. My professional experience in hospital, university and private practice healthcare settings has allowed me to develop my clinical skills and expertise in working with patients experiencing a broad range of difficulties. I offer services to both individual adults and couples, and I aim to provide a patient-focused environment that is authentic and empathic. I always try to collaborate with the patient to identify the root of presented issues, manage distressing symptoms, and ultimately overcome the obstacles to change.
Always tailoring my approach to reflect the uniqueness each person or couple brings to the therapeutic process, I focus on not only aiding in achieving further understanding and insight, but how that can be transformed into meaningful and lasting change.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance in working towards personal and relational growth, and I hope to have the privilege of supporting and witnessing your journey through self-discovery and transformation.
